This is my tribute to the King of Pop. I was just upset about reading the news today, so I set on the piano, played Billie Jean and then improvised a bit. Little mistakes here and there, this is simply a spontaneous record.
The main bassline:
The main bassline:
The right hand plays following chords over the bassline:
F#m - G#m (first bar in the picture)
F#m7 - G#m (second bar).
The only break in this loop are the last 2 bars of the picture above (Bm7).
These 4 bars alternate during verse and chorus, in between there is the bridge ("People always told me...") made of 8 bars, one chord for each:
D - F#m - D - F#m - D - F#m - D - C#7
After the chorus, the Song repeats from the beginning but at this point, I simply start a small improvisation based on two chords:
Bm7 - F#m
The improvisation brings me to the main bassline where the Cover ends, just like it started...
Billie Jean is in the key of F#m not in Gm.
